Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center empowers the boys in their care to forge new futures and rebuild family bonds. They delve into the battles that teenage boys grapple with, including substance use, mental health and behavioral challenges. From medical detox and immersive residential treatment to on-site leadership development through the Stonewater Summit Program and strategic aftercare planning, they’re dedicated to healing the entire family unit.

Replace Substance Use with a Renewed Sense of Purpose

At Stonewater, boys rediscover their identity beneath substance use. Recognizing that many teens use self-destructive patterns to cope with shame, the program focuses on restoring self-worth. Through a blend of DBT, 12-step principles, and leadership training, the approach guides them back to their true selves. By combining traditional therapy with adventure and mindfulness, Stonewater equips adolescent boys to trade addiction for a life of purpose they can be proud of.

Replace Distractions with High-Energy Outdoor Growth

Set on a beautiful private property in the rolling hills of northern Mississippi, Stonewater is a distraction-free setting where adolescent boys can step away from daily pressures and focus on getting better. They spend their days in a mix of therapy, fitness, and outdoor activities that get them moving in new ways. Whether they’re hiking a trail or learning how to tap into their entrepreneurial gifts, the boys can start to see that change is possible.

Map Out Next Steps after Treatment

At Stonewater, aftercare planning begins before the boys complete the program, with recovery support plans tailored to each family’s goals. Driven by the needs of the boys, the new Stonewater Summit Program continues to develop leadership paths that help the boys build confidence, responsibility, and initiative. The program places a strong emphasis on peer accountability and relationship-building, using honest feedback and holding one another to the commitments they’ve made. They work closely with each teen to create personalized home contracts that set clear expectations and healthy boundaries for the return home. After discharge, the boys can expect phone call check-ins and access to their supportive and fun Alumni app.

Interrupt the Cycle of Substance Use with Coping Tools
It is completely natural for adolescence to feel like a whirlwind of intense emotions and impulsive transitions, which is why Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is so vital at Stonewater.
