In the rolling hills outside Atlanta, Kingston Wellness Retreat specializes in treating mental health conditions through a lens of hope and possibility. Through evidence-based, neuroscience-backed therapies, they help gently peel back the layers of pain, trauma, and stress that have hidden each client’s most authentic self. Their boutique residential and step-down outpatient programs equip clients with the skills they need to manage their mental health long-term.

Engage in a Wide Range of Therapies

Kingston blends therapeutic modalities to help clients release what no longer serves them. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps clients change negative thought patterns, while dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) strengthens emotional regulation and relationship skills. Trauma-informed therapy addresses the underlying trauma often contributing to mental health disorders., Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) improves mental well-being. Art and music therapy encourage creative emotional release. Family therapy and medication management reinforce stability and long-term healing.

Heal on a Peaceful Estate

The historic “White Columns” estate was thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort and tranquility. The estate feels secluded from downtown Atlanta while remaining accessible from Hartsfield-Jackson or local private airstrips. Clients stay in private and semi-private rooms, and dine on nutritious meals. There are plenty of opportunities to relax in the movie room, stay active in the fitness center, or release tension in the sauna. Outdoors, clients enjoy quiet spaces for reflection like the gazebo, lush gardens, and nearby trails.

Transition Smoothly into Ongoing Care

Before discharge, each client works with the clinical team to develop a detailed aftercare plan. This includes identifying triggers, developing stress management strategies, and establishing ongoing psychiatric support. Clients can also seamlessly transition to Kingston’s partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient (IOP) programs to maintain continuity of care and sustained recovery.

Fine Tune Treatment with Genetic Testing
Kingston Wellness Retreat integrates genetic testing for mental illness into their programs. Analyzing DNA provides valuable insights into how the body and brain function, especially in relation to mental health. It can help guide the selection of therapies, medications, and holistic approaches that align with each client’s genetic predispositions, ultimately improving treatment outcomes.
Strengthen Recovery with Holistic Therapies
Strengthen Recovery with Holistic Therapies
Traditional treatments are valuable, but Kingston amplifies them by integrating holistic therapies that support clients on a deeper level. Their most popular holistic methods include meditation, yoga, and nutritional therapy. They also offer red light therapy to improve brain function, mood stabilization, and emotional regulation via low-level wavelengths that penetrate deep into cells.
Increase Healing with Family Therapy
Increase Healing with Family Therapy
Family therapy is a core component at Kingston Wellness Retreat. A licensed therapist works with the family to identify patterns of behavior, communication issues, and conflicts that may contribute to their loved one’s mental health struggles. Families learn to support one another, reduce stress, and create a more nurturing environment that fosters individual healing.
