Near the Wilmington shore, Momentum Recovery offers young adults a complete reset. Whether someone is struggling with mental health challenges, navigating the weight of addiction, or managing both at once, they’ll find a path forward here. They offer gender-specific residences, making sure everyone has a safe space to do the work.

Heal Both Mind and Habit in a Space Built for Men

At The Creek, they have created a space where young men who might usually resist treatment feel at home. The team understands that for guys, struggling with mental health or relying on substances often looks like aggression, apathy, or impulsive behavior rather than just sadness. The campus is custom-built and modern, designed to be a place where someone can relax and feel comfortable, with plenty of room for connections and pickup basketball games.

Heal within the Safety of a Sisterhood

At The Cove, women enter a supportive sisterhood, offering clients ages 18 to 35 a safe place to heal. It’s a dual-diagnosis space that doesn't just look at addiction on the surface. Instead, it digs deep into the roots of trauma and anxiety to help women find their footing again. The living space is warm and homey with rooms for unwinding with roommates and a backyard garden where everyone pitches in for dinner.

Spread One’s Wings with a Safety Net Beneath

Momentum’s sober living communities offer a middle ground where young adults can practice normal life while still coming home to a supportive crew. As they move into change management, clients get to spread their wings by living independently off-campus. And they continue to collaborate with their therapist and case manager to navigate challenges.

Momentum’s four-phase journey is designed to meet clients exactly where they are, offering a safety net that transforms into a launchpad for the real world. Trade Survival Mode for the Great Outdoors
Trade Survival Mode for the Great Outdoors
At Momentum, healing is an active pursuit that happens in the North Carolina surf, on a quiet hiking trail, or in the dirt of a garden. Clients engage in everything from surfing and kayaking to horticulture and softball, using the physical world to bridge the gap between treatment and real life. These activities help rewire the brain to find joy in the present.
Ditch the Solo Effort for Collective Strength
Ditch the Solo Effort for Collective Strength
Isolation is often where struggles hide, but at Momentum, the walls come down. While they offer group therapy, they also have gender-specific spaces that allow for vulnerability with peers. Clients can also dive into local recovery circles where they’ll meet a crew that has their back. By plugging into AA or CoDA, clients get a map for life afterward.
Rewire the Brain’s Response to Triggers
Rewire the Brain’s Response to Triggers
At Momentum Recovery, healing trauma is about finally feeling safe in one’s own skin. By blending therapies like EMDR and somatic experiencing with active, hands-on psychodrama, they help release the past from both mind and body. And best of all, clients will gain a practical toolbox to handle triggers and reclaim their story.
Care Options

Levels of Care

Everyone's recovery journey is unique. Whether it looks like residential rehab for 30 days, an outpatient program, or virtual therapy, you can find a level of care that fits your needs.
Residential Rehab
Offering intensive care with 24/7 monitoring, residential substance use treatment is typically 30 days. Length can range from 14 to 90 days.
Sober Living
Transitional housing designed to support individuals recovering from substance use disorders offering a safe, supportive and structured environment for practicing long-term sobriety, while reintegrating back into daily living.
Day Treatment
In a PHP, patients live at home but follow an intensive schedule of treatment. Most programs require you to be on-site for about 40 hours per week.
Intensive Outpatient Program
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) falls between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, with therapy and skills-building activities designed to support recovery and provide flexibility. IOP is ideal for those needing support but not the 24/7 care of a residential facility.
Outpatient
Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Virtual & In-Home Care
The delivery of therapeutic services utilizing technology such as video conferencing, online messaging or phone calls, allowing for flexibility, comfort and increased access to care.
Co-Occurring Mental Health
Treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders, which affect the majority of individuals diagnosed, integrates care for mental health conditions with primary substance use. Personalized care plans are crafted to effectively address each condition simultaneously, optimizing the healing process.
